Asus Crosshair V Formula-z User Manual Pdf
Hey all,
I just recently upgraded my MOBO on my system, came from an ASRock 990fx Killer that was having issues. So I opted to go with the ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z - it looks great in my system. Specs are here.
AMD FX8350 Black
ASUS Crosshair V Formula Z Mobo
ASUS R9 290 DirectCUII in Crossfire (2)
32g Crucial Ballistix Elite RAM
Corsair RM1000 PSU
Full watercooling loop
Sandisk 120g SSD Boot Drive - That's all that's attached right now
Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
So the issue I'm having is that the fresh install of Windows 7 is not seeing the ethernet controller.
I cannot install the driver, it says that there is no Intel Ethernet Adapter installed.
Bios version is 2201, it says that the ethernet is enabled.
In the device manager the only Network Adpaters are 'Hidden' and when I show them they say that they are WAN Miniport (IKEv2, IP, IPv6, L2TP, Network Monitor, PPPOE, PPTP, SSTP) - there is no Intel adapter.
I go to add legacy adapter -> Network Adapters -> then a list of Intel adapters. I'm not sure which one it is, I read that it was a different one than what I'm seeing . But that number is escaping me right now. This is a list of the Intel ones: 82567LF, 82567LF-2, 82567LM, 82567LM-2, 82567LM-4, 82567V, 82567V-2. Those are the wired adapters.
Honestly I am at my wits end, I was going to run an external card, however my PCI-E slots are blocked by my GPUs, and I can't seem to find a card that fits the remaining two PCIe x16 slots.
Any suggestions. I really don't want to RMA this board, if anything I'll bring it back to Microcenter and try again with a new board.

Jun 03, 2013 The ASUS Crosshair V Formula-Z bares a resemblance to it's earlier incarnation the Crosshair V Formula and many have taken that cosmetic similarity and ran with the assumption.
