I had dinner with a friend this week who recently bought her first smartphone - an iPhone 6S.
I asked her if she was happy with her purchase. She said something I didn't expect, but it made a lot of sense.
She said her biggest surprise was that for such a complex product, she was shocked there were no instructions included.
She said when the salesman set up her phone, she watched him unbox everything and was sure there was going to be a pretty thick manual to tell her how to use her new iPhone.
No such luck.
I've been an iPhone user for a decade, and I've unboxed more than my share of Android phones, including Samsung's most recent offerings, and none of them include any significant printed instructions.
